Merchantman Fresh Seafood & Oyster Bar

As

a Prep Cook, You Will
  • Complete daily preparation of food
  • Ensure food is prepped with high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Maintain the kitchen cleanliness and sanitation
  • Organize work areas as well as storage areas
  • Maintain a high standard of safety and sanitation
  • Communicate with kitchen staff, cooks, sous chef, and the Head Chef
  • Follow instructions as directed by the Sous Chef or Head Chef
  • Assist in all areas of the kitchen as required
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Follow all operations policies and procedures
  • Work alongside the restaurant team to establish a safe and fun atmosphere

  • Flexibility – Our back‑of‑house staff will work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends
  • Must possess a desire for personal and professional development

What You Bring
  • Cooking or prep experience is an asset
  • A culinary diploma or degree is considered an asset
