Overview

The Technical Service Specialist I provides on‑site technical support at customer facilities, ensuring optimal performance of fluid and process systems through routine testing, monitoring, and maintenance. The role works independently with minimal supervision, delivering accurate reporting, system optimization, and issue resolution to support operational uptime and customer satisfaction. Frequent travel (approximately 75–100%) is required to perform daily service activities and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily testing, monitoring, and documentation of fluid systems to maintain performance within specifications.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and system adjustments to ensure uptime targets are met.
  • Identify, document, and implement approved process improvements or savings initiatives.
  • Train customer personnel on standard operating procedures for proper product use and system management.
  • Support sales or technical surveys and assist in developing proposals for system improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customer stakeholders to resolve issues within defined service levels.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies while ensuring accurate recordkeeping and data integrity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related business field; or a minimum of one year of related industry experience.
  • Customer focus – dedicated to meeting customer expectations and requirements.
  • Results driven – hold self and others accountable for achieving performance objectives.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, active listening).
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken).
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
