Hamilton County Facilities Technician

Helen Ross McNabb Center seeks a Hamilton County Facilities Technician to support safe, functional buildings for behavioral health and social service programs. Based in Hamilton County, this role performs routine and preventive maintenance, including basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs across multiple sites. The technician responds to work orders and emergencies, conducts safety and facility inspections, and helps ensure compliance with OSHA and agency standards.

Working in a mission-driven, client-focused environment, this position directly supports staff and clients by maintaining clean, reliable, and welcoming facilities for care and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and grounds at Hamilton County facilities.
• Troubleshoot and complete basic repairs in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Respond to work orders and urgent maintenance requests to ensure safe, functional environments for clients and staff.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards, code issues, and repair needs.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or projects.
• Maintain maintenance logs, work order records, and inventory of tools and supplies.
• Ensure compliance with safety, OSHA, and facility policies and procedures.
• Assist with room setups, minor renovations, and relocation of equipment or furnishings.
