Overview:

Shore Educational Collaborative is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for students with disabilities. We are seeking a reliable and dedicated School Custodian to join our team. This position involves maintaining cleanliness and ensuring a safe atmosphere, as well as performing light maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.

- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and waste disposal.

- Assist in the setup and cleanup of school events and activities.

- Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed.

- Conduct light maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs, repairing furniture, and maintaining outdoor areas.

- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

- Assist with minor repairs and troubleshooting of school equipment.

- Collaborate with teachers and staff to address specific needs related to the school environment.

- Respond to emergency cleaning and maintenance requests promptly.

- Support the school's mission by promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred, especially in an educational or healthcare setting.

- Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures.

- Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physical tasks.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Patience and understanding when working with students with disabilities.
