Maintenance Supervisor- Chesapeake, VA

Overview

$500 HIRING BONUS Burlington Capital Properties is currently accepting applications for a Maintenance Supervisor position at our Commons at Churchland housing community in Chesapeake, Virginia. We pride ourselves in the quality living experience we provide to our residents. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with on-call rotation. Schedule to be discussed during interviews.

Maintenance team members protect and improve the overall appearance and maintenance of the property and are the key to our top-notch resident relations. We are seeking a qualified individual who takes pride and ownership in the work they perform and can provide friendly, quality service that our residents deserve.

• Lead, supervise and perform maintenance and repair work as directed.
• Supervise and perform standard apartment maintenance which could include painting, cleaning carpets and appliance repair.
• Complete vacant units to make ready status per established standards.
• Regularly inspect laundry facilities, common area rest rooms, etc. to ensure proper functioning, and clean common areas as needed.
• Inspect and/or perform grounds maintenance ensuring high level curb appeal.
• Continually monitor budgeted maintenance expenses.
• Ensure that all Federal, State and County Health and Safety Codes, Laws and Standards are followed.
• Participate in resident functions as requested by Management.

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Prior experience in apartment maintenance or equivalent field required.
• HVAC certification required.
• Working knowledge in plumbing, electrical, and general building trades is required.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record may be required.
