Janitor Evening Shift

General Summary

Cleans and keeps in an orderly condition office and commercial workplace areas, washrooms, and other premises.

• Sweeping, mopping or scrubbing, and polishing floors.
• Removing chips, trash, and other refuse.
• Dusting equipment, furniture, and fixtures; polishing metal fixtures or trimmings.
• Providing supplies.
• Maintaining safe work practices and environment.
• Reporting maintenance conditions to the supervisor.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions in English.
• Background check, a current driver’s license, and passing a drug screen.
• Diplomatic and positive interaction with others.

• Continuous movement; frequent standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, reaching, and use of hands.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Frequent exposure to chemicals such as cleaning solutions; potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
• Ability to work alone or with minimal supervision.

Base salary range: $18.47 per hour.
