Responsibilities

As a residential Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for ongoing facility maintenance and repairs to keep the company’s multifamily property operating and appearing at its best.

  • Use three‑plus years of experience in property maintenance to address work orders before issues become major problems.
  • Perform light carpentry, painting, minor electrical or plumbing repairs, and/or HVAC system maintenance.
  • Proactively address routine maintenance and general cleanliness of the property, including resident amenities such as the pool and clubhouse.
  • Engage efficiently with residents in their units and about the property.
  • Commit to a safety‑first approach for all tasks to ensure a safe working and living environment.
  • Work full time Monday through Friday, with occasional on‑call hours as set by the Property Management team.
  • Maintain your own toolkit and, when required, use a company‑owned or personal vehicle; a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with tools and materials for residential building maintenance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to write and speak clearly.
  • Respect for all, responsibility, ownership of tasks, confidentiality, and initiative.
  • Excellent organizational skills, strong time management, and ability to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in property management or hospitality.
  • Preferable prior experience in general building maintenance, painting, light carpentry, electrical, or plumbing within a commercial residential environment.
  • Preferable prior experience maintaining and repairing HVAC systems.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have own tools and a valid driver’s license to operate company‑owned or personal vehicles for work.
Physical Requirements
  • Work hours:

    Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, plus scheduled on‑call hours and occasional weekends.
  • Occasional drive in company‑owned or personal vehicle.
  • Frequent lifting/moving of items up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs.
  • Use hands to manipulate tools; adequate vision; stamina and dexterity.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, climb stairs and ladders, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in various weather conditions.
