Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Averaging between 32 - 37 hrs a week.

Pay Rate: $17.50 – $20.00 per hour (depending on experience and client approval)

DBS is seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundskeeper & Light Maintenance Technician for an HOA community in Virginia Beach. This dual-role position combines outdoor grounds care with basic indoor facility maintenance and janitorial upkeep to ensure the community remains clean, safe, and attractive for all residents.

• Grounds & Exterior Care: Maintain outdoor green spaces by trimming greenery, clearing fallen tree limbs and yard debris, and regularly servicing and emptying community dog stations.

• Light Maintenance & Plumbing: Perform basic maintenance tasks and conduct initial plumbing troubleshooting to resolve minor issues before escalating to a licensed plumber.

• Clubhouse & Amenity Upkeep: Keep the community clubhouse clean and presentable by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning rest rooms.

• Seasonal & Pool Care: Skim and remove leaves and floating debris from the pool area as needed during summer season to keep amenity spaces clear.

• Experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, basic building upkeep, or janitorial work preferred.

• Basic understanding of general maintenance practices and hand/power tools.

• Ability to troubleshoot basic plumbing issues before calling in external vendors.

• Strong attention to detail, positive attitude, and ability to work independently.

• Physical capability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform manual labor (bending, lifting, sweeping, standing).

• Must pass a background check, per customer request.

• Must pass a drug test, per customer request.
