The Maintenance Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Civita Care Center at Cheshire, a leading provider of sub-acute rehabilitation in Cheshire, Connecticut. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our rehabilitation center. • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, repairing and replacing equipment, fixtures, and appliances, as well as conducting preventative maintenance on all facilities and equipment
• Conduct repairs and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of all facilities and equipment, including but not limited to, disposing of hazardous waste and recyclables
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities
• Collaborate with the facilities team to coordinate maintenance schedules and assignments
• Respond to emergency situations and equipment failures in a timely and efficient manner
• Perform other duties as assigned by the facilities manager

• 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Valid driver's license (if applicable)

• Competitive hourly rate: $18 - $20 HOURLY
• Full‑time position with a regular schedule (negotiable)
