Floor Technician, Mon to Fri, 9:30 pm to 6:00 am, Brightpoint Community College Chester (Maintenance)Position Summary

Provides floor care and janitorial services on a daily basis as required at the designated work sites.

Essential Duties

Performs daily dust mopping, cleaning (including wet mop and auto scrub) and buffing of floors.

Performs periodic stripping and waxing of floors and periodic restoration of restroom floors.

Performs periodic carpet cleaning by extractor or bonnet shampooing.

Cleans floor equipment after each use and perform routine maintenance as needed. Notifies supervisor of any equipment needing repair.

May be required to perform the following on an as needed basis; dusting, vacuuming, restroom cleaning, emptying trash and replacing can liner, and glass cleaning.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance

High School Diploma / GED not required.
1 Year of experience helpful but not required.
No professional certifications are required for this position.
The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
The associate in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.

Physical Demands/Work Environment/Work Conditions

The associate is required to lift up to 50 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

The associate works in a moderate work environment with occasional exposure to extreme atmospheric conditions (temperature, noise, fumes, dust, etc.).

The associate may be required to provide assistance with snow removal.

The associate must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as business needs dictate.
