Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Maintenance Manager
Are you a hands-on maintenance leader who thrives in fast-paced industrial environments? Our client is seeking a safety-focused, results-driven Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance and reliability efforts for a large fleet of heavy mobile equipment supporting critical production operations. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on equipment performance, team development, and operational efficiency.
What You'll Be Doing- Lead all maintenance activities for a fleet of heavy mobile equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
- Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Manage equipment repairs, rebuilds, and vendor service relationships.
- Supervise and develop maintenance technicians and mechanics in a unionized environment.
- Partner closely with operations leadership to support production goals and minimize downtime.
- Oversee maintenance inventory, budgeting, and key performance metrics.
- Foster a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
- 5+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience within an industrial, manufacturing, recycling, construction, quarry, steel, or similar environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of hydraulics, diesel engines, electrical systems, and heavy equipment repair.
- Experience utilizing CMMS or maintenance management software.
- A proactive leader who can build strong relationships, hold teams accountable, and drive continuous improvement.
- Safety-first mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision‑making abilities

: $100-120k base
