Position: Student Sweeper [ST05]

Job Description

Starting Date: Immediately

MUST BE A CURRENT STUDENT WITH LCSD1

MISC/TEMP SALARY: $13.00/hour

Responsibilities
  • Participates in daily work schedule of building and grounds cleaning.
  • Washes windows and doors.
  • Cleans chalkboards and white boards.
  • Dust mops resilient floors.
  • Vacuums carpets.
  • Cleans furniture.
  • Picks up trash, empties pencil sharpeners and trash receptacles.
  • Assists with the moving of student furniture.
  • Dusts.
  • Must wear appropriate clothing for the job, no sandals, tank tops, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
    • Essential Job Functions
  • Lifts and carries up to 25 lbs. with the aid of mechanical assistance.
  • Ability to work in a squatting, kneeling and standing position for an extended period of time.
  • Must be able to carry a backpack vacuum for three hours. (25 lbs)
  • Complies with all local, state and federal safety regulations.
    • Qualifications
  • Must be fifteen (15) years of age.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be able to follow simple oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to exercise care in the use of cleaning materials for different types of surfaces.
  • Must be able to recognize and report unsafe hazards.
