Utility Maintenance - Cheyenne, WY

At TJX Companies, we welcome applicants to join our Sierra team as a Maintenance Associate. This role supports product flow at our Sierra Fulfillment Center in Cheyenne, WY.

• B Shift: Friday – Sunday 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM (+$1.75 for weekend shift)

This position has a starting pay range of $18.00 to $21.10 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

• Perform basic battery care and changes, including preventive maintenance and watering batteries.
• Minor preventive maintenance and upkeep on auxiliary equipment such as balers, battery wash and charging stations, and other equipment as assigned.
• Manage the cardboard baler process: remove bales, operate the baler and associated systems, clear jams as needed, and perform minor preventive maintenance.
• Perform basic repairs to equipment.
• Assemble and disassemble various types of equipment using basic tools.
• Test and inspect safety harnesses.
• Painting and minor building repairs, including changing light bulbs and basic plumbing.
• Complete and maintain maintenance‑related logs and documentation on maintenance actions, parts usage, etc.
• Maintain interior floors clean in the warehouse as needed.
• General labor and housekeeping duties.
• Maintain exterior grounds as required, including cleaning sidewalks, emptying trash receptacles, cleaning equipment, and snow/ice removal.
• Assist Maintenance Mechanics as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six months to one year experience in a maintenance environment with demonstrated knowledge and aptitude.
• Ability to stand the duration of the shift and work in outside climates.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools.
• Comfortable working at different heights as needed.
• Knowledge of OSHA / NFPA standards.
• Maintains safe work practices at all times, including wearing of PPE and using LOTO.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
