This is a high-impact HSE leadership role for someone who wants real ownership, real visibility, and the authority to shape how safety and environmental excellence show up on the plant floor—every day.

You’ll sit on the site leadership team
, acting as the voice of health, safety, and environmental performance while partnering closely with operations to create a culture where people go home safe and compliance is never an afterthought.

If you’re energized by accountability, continuous improvement, and leading from the front, this role gives you the platform to make a lasting impact.

Why This Role Matters

  • You’ll influence leaders, shape behaviors, and elevate standards across the facility
  • You’ll help drive sustainability by improving environmental performance and reducing waste
What You’ll Own

  • Design, implement, and evolve HSE programs, procedures, control plans, standard work, and reporting systems
    .
  • Manage and maintain all environmental permits and documentation
, including air, water, and waste.
  • Act as the site authority on local, state, and federal HSE regulations
, translating requirements into practical execution.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory reports and permit applications (air, water, solid/hazardous waste, stormwater, etc.).
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory agencies
    , building credibility and trust.
  • Co-chair the Safety Committee
, leading monthly safety meetings, safety walk‑throughs, and corrective action follow‑up.
  • Partner with supervisors and department leaders to drive engaging safety conversations and monthly training
    .
  • Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and proactive hazard mitigation
    .
  • Apply Lean / Six Sigma thinking to strengthen safety systems and eliminate repeat issues.
What Success Looks Like
  • Strong safety culture where employees are engaged and accountable
  • Clean audits, confident regulatory relationships, and zero surprises
  • Clear, effective training that actually changes behavior
  • Measurable improvement in safety and environmental performance
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree (science, engineering, or HSE preferred).
  • 5+ years of hands‑on HSE experience
Deep knowledge of environmental regulations, including:
  • Solid and hazardous waste programs
  • NPDES stormwater requirements
  • Experience with HSE management systems, audits, and risk assessments
    .
  • Exposure to continuous improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge, influence, and lead.
  • Comfortable being on the floor, in meetings, and in front of regulators.
