Job Details
Salary: $90,000 - $115,000 per year
Key Responsibilities Process Optimization & Manufacturing Support- Monitor manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput
- Measure and analyze process capability (Cp, Cpk) and lead variability reduction initiatives
- Investigate product and process non-conformities and perform root cause analysis
- Develop corrective actions and implement sustainable process improvements
- Optimize cycle times, changeovers, and key production operations to maximize productivity
- Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, work instructions, and technical documentation
- Collect and analyze production data to support capacity planning and operational improvements
- Create and maintain rework procedures aligned with product acceptance criteria
- Ensure compliance with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS)
- Conduct internal audits and support corrective and preventive actions
- Maintain process and product traceability documentation
- Utilize quality methodologies including SPC, DOE, and 8D problem solving
- Support initiatives to reduce scrap, improve yield, and lower customer PPM levels
- Participate in quality reviews, audits, and continuous improvement activities
- Review and manage non-conforming materials and products as needed
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, and process standardization
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Support development, tracking, and reporting of operational KPIs
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve manufacturing performance and process reliability
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities including process development, testing, and implementation
- Partner with R&D and manufacturing teams on product and process enhancements
- Assist with technology transfer activities to ensure successful implementation into production
- Verify transferred processes meet production and quality standards
- Recommend and implement corrective actions when process deviations are identified
- Support management and optimization of tooling, molds, and manufacturing equipment
- Identify opportunities to improve production infrastructure and technical resources
- Assist in troubleshooting process and equipment-related issues
- Support operator training and competency validation for production equipment and processes
- Assist in developing and delivering quality and process-related training materials

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
- Degree focus in Materials Science, Ceramics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, process engineering, or production engineering environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials science, chemistry, or ceramics
- Experience with quality systems and statistical process control methodologies
- Proficiency with SPC, DOE, and 8D problem-solving techniques
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Mini Tab or similar statistical software preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities
- Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Detail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong decision-making and troubleshooting capabilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team environment
