Your Future Team

As a Senior Billing Analyst, you will be responsible for executing billing processes such as billing calculations, custodian submissions, and reconciling fees processed. You will also be responsible for ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations related to billing. You will play a crucial role in optimizing billing procedures, analyzing financial data, resolving billing discrepancies, and providing valuable insights to support decision‑making within the organization.

This role will require cross‑functional collaboration with various teams within Hightower as well as directly with financial advisors and field professionals.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist with the end‑to‑end billing process, ensuring accurate fee processing to clients
  • Review and support the implementation & continuous improvement of billing procedures to maintain regulatory controls, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors
  • Review billing calculations and resolve discrepancies to ensure accuracy and completeness of billing information
  • Work directly with various custodians to process fees/refunds
  • Analyze financial data related to billing, receivables, and collections to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
  • Reconcile cash collections against transactions in the general ledger and bank accounts by working cross‑functionally
  • Optimize revenue collection through tracking and executing upon Accounts Receivable policy
  • Serve as a point of contact for billing inquiries, effectively communicating with clients, internal stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams, while maintaining SLAs
  • Maintain accurate and organized billing records, supporting documentation, and audit trails to facilitate internal and external audits
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve issues and support the implementation of process improvements to increase productivity and reduce manual efforts
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all billing activities
  • Manage workload effectively, prioritize activities, and deliver work within established timelines.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Billing Analyst or similar role
  • Financial services industry and RIA experience
  • Strong understanding of billing principles, financial analysis, and relevant software applications
  • Proficiency in billing operations and related accounting systems (e.g. Envestnet Wealth Management software, Black Diamond, etc.)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite, including Excel (pivot tables, v‑lookup, etc.), Word, Outlook
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and interact with clients
