Responsible for assisting providers with patient care, clerical, insurance verification and prior authorizations, environmental and organization tasks. Responsible for appointment scheduling and chart management. Provides Information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the clinic services. Conveys a positive image of organization. All clinical tasks performed by MA II’s must occur under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician (MD, DO, APN, PA) who is physically present in the facility and immediately available.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. A minimum of six months’ experience in Urgent Care, Primary Care physician practice setting and/or direct patient care experience.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Successful completion in an accredited Medical Assistant Training program.
4. Fluency in English.
5. Must have BLS within 30 days of hire.
6. Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia training within 90 days of hire, if required by department.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $22.00 to $27.00.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
