The Spotter is responsible for helping maintain a safe work environment in a steel facility by observing operations and assisting with the safe movement of materials, equipment, and vehicles. The Spotter communicates with operators and coworkers to prevent accidents and ensure safe work practices are followed.
Job Qualifications Include:
- Ability to stay alert and focused for extended periods
- Ability to communicate clearly using hand signals and verbal instructions
- Ability to follow safety instructions and procedures
- Prior experience in a steel, industrial, or warehouse environment preferred but not required
- Class B License
- Steel toe boots or steel to shoes
Responsibilities Include:
- Observe steel handling operations to identify potential safety hazards
- Assist crane, forklift, truck, or equipment operators by providing clear visual or verbal signals
- Help guide the movement, loading, or positioning of steel materials
- Maintain constant awareness of surroundings and moving equipment
- Communicate clearly and promptly to alert others of unsafe conditions
- Follow all company safety rules and site-specific procedures
- Report safety concerns, near misses, or incidents to supervision immediately
- Temp to Hire
- $21 per hour
- Monday - Friday
- Overtime as needed
- 3:30 pm - 12:00 am
