Position: Mobile Diesel Mechanic II - Class C License $2500 New Hire Bonus

Our 24/7 in‑house call‑center supports scheduled maintenance services and unscheduled services to fleets anywhere, anytime.

We are currently hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II
. This role is responsible for performing licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance inspections, light and follow‑up repairs, light mechanical/hydraulic/electrical and electronic diagnostics, and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections and follow‑up repairs on light, medium and heavy‑duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • Perform minor adjustment and repairs on various types of truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters, alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, etc.
  • Diagnose, adjust, and repair various types of truck equipment including electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters, alternators, air conditioning systems, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, etc.
  • Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments such as handheld computers and pressure gauges.
  • Road test vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and ensure proper operation.
  • Identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and determine the best course of action.
  • Independently manage parts inventory, reconcile inventory, and maintain service equipment.
  • Maintain and operate company‑issued service vehicle, conduct safety checks, and pre/post‑trip inspections.
  • Work with clients and customers to assess needs, provide information, and resolve issues.
  • Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Use hand tools, precision instruments, diesel tools, welding equipment, lifts, and jacks.
  • Document work on Repair Orders (RO) using company‑issued iOS device and TRAIT application.
  • Accurately complete DOT forms and all other required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Work independently and manage daily schedule.
  • Maintain high productivity and meet standard repair times.
  • Procure parts from approved vendors as necessary.
  • Communicate with management and support teams to obtain approvals and discuss RO findings.
  • Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health, and environmental policies, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
  • Maintain company‑issued service truck, conduct safety checks, and perform daily pre/post‑trip inspections.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or equivalent experience or higher education). 5 years of experience may also qualify.
  • Possess the hand tools required for job duties.
  • Obtain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification T8 (PMI) within 18 months.
  • Must successfully complete DOT‑regulated pre‑employment background screening and DOT physical.
  • Valid DOT medical card with at least 4 months remaining may be accepted in lieu of a DOT physical.
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license (Class

    C) and ability to maintain a Driver Qualification File.
