About the Role
School House Staffing is hiring a School Social Worker to support a school district in the Chicago Heights area for the 2026–2027 school year. This is a full-time, 11-month contract position serving students in special education, working directly with IEP teams, families, and school staff to remove barriers to learning and connect students to the resources they need.

What You'll Do- Conduct social-developmental case studies and participate in identifying students who need services
- Provide direct services to students and serve as a liaison between home and school
- Consult with IEP teams on behavior management, learning challenges, and program development
- Write IEP goals for social work services and participate in eligibility/placement evaluations
- Conduct home visits as needed to obtain consent for evaluations or initial placement
- Connect students and families with community resources and outside agency support
- Participate in preschool screenings, in-service trainings, and district social work meetings
- Maintain accurate case records in compliance with district and legal requirements
- Master of Social Work (MSW) from an accredited university
- State certification/licensure as a School Social Worker (or eligible alternatives approved by the district)
