The Senior Software Engineer Role

Salary range: $ - $. This position is bonus and/or commission eligible.

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for executing the design and development of existing and new CCC Products, including both frontend and backend components, working closely with product owners and other developers.

• Understand the architecture and create technical design of application components.
• Hands‑on technical development of complex application features, both frontend and backend.
• Ensure code quality and testing guidelines are met.
• Apply Java best practices, system scalability, and performance tuning.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Deliver software components to production on time.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to identify functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Showcase technical expertise and follow best practices, procedures, and techniques.
• Participate in technical discussions and decisions.
• Work with QA and Product Owner teams to meet requirements.
• Present and defend architectural, design, and technical choices.
• Resolve production defects and issues.
• Develop detailed technical analysis and design specifications.
• Create and execute integration level test plans.
• Lead functional and technical specification reviews.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of Java/J2EE development experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Experience with unit testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and a pattern‑based approach.
• Strong coding skills and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented, able to work independently.
• Quality‑oriented with focus on product delivery.
• Experience with Java 8+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring Data, JSP, Servlets, JavaScript (ES6), Vue.js, React, Angular
  
  JS, REST/SOAP APIs.
• Experience with backend systems, Docker, Rancher, Tomcat, Maven, UNIX/Linux commands, JUnit.
• Version control with Git, Git Lab, Git Hub, SVN.
• Database experience with Oracle, Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL.
• Experience with Kafka, Active
  
  MQ, Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools.
• Experience with AWS cloud technologies.
