Qualifications and Detail about the Position
Summary:
This position serves as the first point of contact between sites served (operations) and Asset Management in regards to scaffold equipment. This position represents Asset Management and coordinates with site level Operations to determine project needs, optimize asset utilization, source materials, and coordinate logistics. The Scaffold Yard Operations Manager will assist in hiring, training yard personnel to perform the necessary functions while fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Responsible for all the day-to-day operations of the scaffold yard.
Responsibilities:
- Promote, demonstrate, and instill Brock’s BSafe and BBest Culture in all aspects of the business
- Responsible for the training and management of yard and office personnel
- Inspect each delivery and return to ensure proper identification of items and accuracy of counts
- Responsible for the accuracy of all paperwork concerning any moving of equipment
- Ensure proper receipt of all incoming equipment including to but not limited to inspection of the condition of the equipment and the completion of all required paperwork
- Responsible for maintaining the equipment in an organized fashion(i.e. separation of equipment requiring disposal, repair, equipment to be charged to customer, and the equipment that is rent ready
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle audits(i.e. trucks, trailer, forklifts, etc)
- Communication of inventory levels to management
- Hold daily morning meetings to discuss objectives and safety compliance
- Monitor all preventative maintenance of vehicles (i.e. trucks, trailer, forklifts, etc.)
- Maintain a well-organized and safe working environment
- Perform and/or check inventory tracking system of entries of deliveries/pickups
- Perform item audits to ensure proper system accuracy levels
- Initiate requisitions and purchases for all safety related items and miscellaneous items for the continued operational excellence of the yard
- Ensure housekeeping activities for the facility are being maintained and take necessary steps to rectify if needed
- Actively monitor and participate in defining best practices to facilitate the continued improvement in processes and procedures
- Review, audit, and submit time tracking for employees
- Ensure all logs/files, tracking apparatus are up to date and dispersed accordingly

Working Conditions:
- 50/50 split of office based and outdoor responsibilities
- PPE to be worn majority of time due to in/out nature of position
- Make deliveries/pickups, take employees to various places on as needed basis
Skills and Abilities:
- Working intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite
- Proficient with asset tracking system
- Possess a service oriented mentality with a team approach guidance
- Excellent verbal, written, communication, and mentoring skills
- Self-motivated and time sensitive driven
- Ability to engage with personnel to foster ‘one-goal’ mentality

ORIENTATION
- Must be able to successfully pass Brock and/or Safety Council Site Specific Orientation requirements.
HEAVY WORK
- Lifting up to 50 pounds of force from the floor to the waist and 35 pounds of force from the waist to above shoulder.
CLIMBING
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and the like, to elevations in excess of 100 feet, to maintain three-point contact at all times.
LADDERS
- Using vertical ladders Frequently up to 100 feet
