Key Qualifications- Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution
- State licensure or eligibility for license as a school social worker
- Experience working with children and adolescents within educational settings
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and crisis intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Familiarity with relevant legal regulations, IEP planning, and community resources
- Exceptional organization and case management abilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students’ social and emotional needs
- Assess and address barriers affecting student achievement, including behavioral, emotional, or familial challenges
- Develop and implement intervention strategies tailored to individual student circumstances
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary teams to contribute insights to IEPs and 504 Plans
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support positive educational outcomes
- Advocate for students and connect families with appropriate community resources
- Maintain accurate, confidential student records and progress notes
