A well-established law firm is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations in a professional services environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in accounting who enjoys structured financial processes, precision, and working closely with leadership in a client-service-driven business.
Key Responsibilities- Manage day-to-day accounting activities including AP, AR, and general ledger maintenance
- Assist with monthly close, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Process vendor payments and client billing support
- Maintain accurate financial records within Quick Books Online
- Support trust/IOLTA account tracking and compliance (if applicable)
- Assist with financial reporting and documentation for firm leadership
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data
- Partner with external CPA for year-end support and audits
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Experience in a professional services environment (law firm, financial services, real estate, consulting, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Quick Books Online
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliations
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
