Property Accountant

The Property Accountant plays a key role in bridging property-level accounting with fund-level reporting. This position ensures accurate financial reporting, supports investor and tax processes, and maintains consistent accounting data across multiple entities. The ideal candidate has strong property and fund accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and a process-driven mindset.

• Coordinate with property managers and internal investment teams to obtain property-level financials on a monthly or quarterly basis
• Review property-level financials and partner with fund accounting teams to ensure alignment between property and fund records
• Ensure consistency across equity balances, intercompany activity, and interest income between property and fund reporting
• Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding property activity, including sales, refinances, and partner transactions
• Track interest and income allocations across applicable entities to ensure accurate fund- and property-level reporting
• Document and maintain standardized accounting workflows to support accuracy and operational efficiency
• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting, data flow, and cross-team coordination

• Support fund accounting teams in the preparation of investor reporting
• Coordinate with properties and external partners to collect K-1s for fund tax filings
• Monitor equity contributions, distributions, and cost basis changes across multiple entities
• Prepare and maintain weekly reporting on bank balances across all accounts

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred but not required
• 3+ years of experience in property accounting, fund accounting, or real estate investment accounting
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Collaborative communicator with experience working across accounting, fund administration, and asset management teams
