Senior Accountant

We are seeking two experienced Senior Accountants for 6‑month contract assignments to support critical finance and accounting operations. These roles will play a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting revenue recognition processes, and strengthening cost accounting functions. The ideal candidates will bring strong technical accounting knowledge, hands‑on ERP experience (especially JD Edwards
), and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close activities

• Apply and manage Percentage of Completion (POC) revenue recognition
• Maintain a strong understanding of job costing and cost accounting
• Analyze project margins and financial performance
• Maintain A/R and A/P sub‑ledgers
• Validate source documentation and reconcile sub‑ledgers to the GL

• 4–6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Recent experience with JD Edwards (JDE) strongly preferred
• Percentage of Completion (POC) revenue
• Costing / job cost accounting
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, analysis tools)
• Experience working with multiple ERP systems
  
  Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills
• Ability to thrive in a deadline‑driven environment

• CPA preferred but not required
• Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote
• Office located in the Midway Airport area of Chicago
