Billing Assistant

Description We are looking for a skilled Billing Assistant to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with a keen attention to detail and experience in billing processes seeking a remote opportunity. The position is based in Chicago, Illinois, and offers a chance to contribute to the real estate and property industry.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and process accurate billing statements for clients on a timely basis.

- Manage the collection of outstanding payments while maintaining clear and effective communication.

- Utilize computerized billing systems to ensure efficient and streamlined operations.

- Generate and distribute invoices in various formats, including PDF documents.

- Collaborate with team members to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

- Maintain detailed records of transactions and billing activities for auditing purposes.

- Review and update client accounts to reflect accurate charges and payments.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all billing processes.

- Perform regular reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

- Assist in the integration and optimization of billing systems as needed. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in billing or a related role.

- Proficiency in computerized billing systems and processes.

- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.

- Ability to create and manage PDF documents for invoicing purposes.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.

- Familiarity with billing functions and collection procedures.

- Knowledge of industry standards and compliance requirements in billing.
