The Client Accounting Advisory Team is a rapidly growing division of Cohn Reznick, where we partner with our clients to perform accounting, advisory and technology services. Our services include maintaining books and records, financial statement close management reporting, assistance with state and local tax filings, virtual controller/CFO services, and accounting technology solution development.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support the Healthcare + Life Sciences accounting team. Responsible for client execution and timely delivery of client work product
• Demonstrate ability to independently perform accounting services for client, including but not limited to timely complete duties associated with managing teams. Ensure team is meeting goals and benchmarks for performance and execution of client work, such as delivering monthly financials, developing skills for career growth, working within budget and time parameters, etc.
• Perform thorough self-review of all work prior to submission for final review
• Develop proficiency in use of all technology necessary for performance and execution of work, and act as a resource for other staff
• Ensure quality control procedures are being followed and executed
• Identify areas for process improvement for client work and/or practice operations
• Build and maintain positive client, colleague, and internal stakeholder relationships
• Respond timely and accurately to internal team and client requests
• Develop efficient work habits to support the organization and work within budgetary parameters (both time and deadline)
• Appropriately communicate difficult situations encountered on engagements to leadership
• Maintain appropriate compliance with all firm wide policies and procedures
• Positively represent and actively promote the Firm
• Participate in mentoring, recruiting, retention and team-building activities directly related to job responsibilities
• Proactively seek knowledge, new tasks, and responsibilities
• Follow regulations and professional ethics of the AICPA and the state society

The successful candidate will have:

• Bachelors Degree strongly preferred
• CPA preferred but not required.
• 4+ years in accounting with at least 1+ years of Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Bio Tech industry experience
• Proven ability to drive and lead month-end close processes, including ownership of deadlines, reviews of and accuracy of work performed by other team members, corporate accounting processes and procedures such as cash management, AR/AP, payroll and benefits.
