Vernon Hills, Illinois | Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Compensation: $90,000 – $110,000 annually (estimated)

Our client, a well‑established organization in the Vernon Hills area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their accounting team. This is a hybrid opportunity offering meaningful exposure across core accounting functions and close interaction with finance leadership.

• Support the month‑end close process and preparation of financial statements
• Understand, support, and serve as a backup resource for billing, collections, and A/R cash application
• Oversee state and local sales tax reporting and compliance
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and resolve variances
• Assist with monthly performance reporting, as well as budgeting and forecasting activities
• Oversee and support the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of accounting experience in a medium‑sized organization at the staff or senior accountant level
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, processes, and internal controls
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines
