Accountant, Tax Accountant, Financial Reporting

I’m partnering with a highly respected, privately held financial services firm, with a significant real estate and direct investment platform. This is a rare opportunity to join a lean, high-caliber accounting team supporting a diversified portfolio of real estate investments, private funds, and operating companies.

This role offers exposure you simply won’t get at a large corporate environment. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, gain visibility into complex transactions, and develop a broad foundation across investment accounting, partnership structures, and tax support.

The team is tight-knit, long-tenured, and looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career within a stable and sophisticated investment platform.

Chicago – West Loop

Schedule:

Hybrid – In Office Monday–Thursday

Compensation: $80,000–$90,000 Base + 10% Bonus

Hours:

8:30 AM – 5:00 PM - You will not deal with crazy hours here!

• Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledgers
• Handle AR/AP processing
• Process capital calls and investor distributions
• Assist with financial statement preparation and quarterly reporting
• Perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
• Prepare tax work papers (partnerships, fiduciary, S-Corps)
• Support annual tax return filings and external audits
• Assist with special projects tied to investment activity

• Bachelor’s in Accounting (required)
• CPA preferred (Brownie points if you worked in Public Accounting)
• Entry level up to 2–3 years of experience (public accounting strongly preferred)
• Strong GPA and solid academic foundation
• Experience with Allvue or Microsoft Dynamics a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• High integrity, strong communication skills, and desire to grow long term
