Why This Role MattersAs Matrix Sciences continues to grow, our systems and processes are evolving rapidly. We’re seeking an Accounting Analyst who bridges core accounting and technology, ensuring our Net Suite ERP and new Power BI reporting platforms run smoothly across the organization.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys traditional accounting work but also loves optimizing systems and finding smarter ways to do things. You’ll support accounting operations, oversee system-driven workflows (particularly in reporting and accounts payable), and help strengthen the reporting foundation for a growing business.
What You’ll Do- Monitor billing systems integrated with Net Suite and work with the accounting team to improve manual, non-integrated billing processes
- Act as a liaison between finance and IT to troubleshoot, document, and optimize Net Suite system functionality
- Support month‑end close for 20 sites across 4 business units
- Perform month‑end close activities including account reconciliations specifically cash, accruals, prepaid expenses, inventory by site, fixed assets and complete variance analysis
- Identify and support process improvement initiatives, automate manual tasks and strengthen controls
- Participate in a newly automated accounts payable workflow processes including vendor management, invoice review by system‑identified exception and system‑driven payments to ensure the process runs smoothly
- Treasury management including monitoring of cash and recalculation of lender interest and fees
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2–5 years of accounting or finance experience with a strong understanding of general ledger mapping
- Hands‑on experience with an ERP accounting system (Net Suite preferred) and comfort with ERP system troubleshooting
- Experience with a company operating through multiple sites and business segments
- Experience with Power BI (or similar BI reporting tools) preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, presentation experience, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for non‑finance stakeholders
- A collaborative mindset and curiosity for how systems can make accounting smarter and faster
