Senior Accountant

Kforce's client, a leading privately held firm located in the Chicago (IL) area, is seeking a Senior Accountant with international accounting experience to support month‑end close, financial reporting, and compliance activities within a growing accounting team. This role partners closely with finance and operations and contributes to process improvements across the function. The client offers salary and benefits and fosters a team‑environment culture.

The position requires one day per week in the office on Thursdays.

• Lead month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Support cash management and treasury activities.
• Assist with account registrations, renewals, and compliance documentation.
• Apply revenue recognition standards (ASC 606); ASC 842 exposure a plus.
• Use ERP and reporting tools (Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI preferred).
• Support multi‑entity and/or international accounting needs.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal controls.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• CPA preferred, not required; 2‑3 years of accounting experience.
• ERP experience required;
  Microsoft Dynamics strongly preferred.
• Strong technical accounting and reporting skills.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical, and proactive.
• Collaborative and able to manage competing priorities.
• Professional with discretion handling sensitive information.
• Professional services, multi‑entity, or international experience preferred.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
