What will you be doing?
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role inmaintainingthe financial health and integrity of our organization. You will own key accounting functions — from day-to-day transactional processes to monthly close and financial reporting — while partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Leadership to drive accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement across our accounting operations.
Responsibilities- Manage accounts receivable and collections processes to ensuretimelyandaccurateinvoicingand cash application
- Manage accounts payable and vendor payment workflows,maintaining strong vendor relationships and payment accuracy
- Process payroll and perform related reconciliations to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
- Calculate and administer sales commissions in coordination with Sales and Finance teams
- Perform daily and monthly cash reconciliations tomaintainreal-time visibility into cash positioning
- Lead the monthly accrual-based financial close process, ensuring deadlines and accuracy standards are met
- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliation sin accordance withGAAP
- Maintain general ledger accuracy andsupportingschedules
- Assist with financial reporting and month-end variance analysis for internal stakeholders
- Support annual audit and tax preparation processes in collaboration with external advisors
- Identify and help implement improvements to accounting workflows, internal controls, and documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Leadership teams to support strategic financial decisions
- We'relooking for a detail-oriented accounting professional whothrivesin a dynamic environment and takes ownership of their work. The ideal candidate will bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with exposure to full-cycle accounting
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general ledger management
- Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and financial close processes.
Experience with Gusto for payroll processing is a plus. - Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Net Suite, Sage, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
- CPA or CPA candidate is a plus, but not required
- Must belocatedwithin commuting distance of Chicago, IL for hybrid work arrangement

Compensation: $70,000-$80,000 annually
