Cost Accountant About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Cost Accountant to support a manufacturing-focused accounting team during a transition period. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in maintaining accurate cost data and supporting day-to-day operations.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with operations, analyzing costs, and making an immediate impact.

• Support cost accounting activities within a manufacturing environment
• Assist with inventory valuation, cost tracking, and variance analysis
• Partner with operations to ensure accurate production cost reporting
• Contribute to month-end close, including reconciliations related to inventory and cost
• Help maintain and update standard costs
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and reporting accuracy

Required:

• 2–5+ years of accounting experience (cost or inventory experience preferred)
• Exposure to manufacturing, inventory, or operational accounting
• Understanding of cost tracking, inventory, and variances
• Ability to work on-site Monday–Friday
• Strong attention to detail and reliability

Preferred:

• Experience with standard costing or bill of materials (BOM)
• Exposure to fixed assets or plant accounting
• ERP system experience (Oracle or similar a plus)
• Intermediate Excel skills
