Accounts Payable Clerk
Position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager
Job Location:
Chicago, IL
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $22.50 to $24.50 an hour
The Accounts Payable Clerk will participate in the the procure to pay process and assist in controlling expenditures through accurate and timely execution of the responsibilities listed below.
Responsibilities:
- Posting invoices and credits for assigned vendors
- Reconciling vendor statements
- Communicating with various departments in a professional manner to resolve discrepancies
- Communicating with vendors via phone and email to resolve outstanding issues
- Specific projects and other ad hoc assignments as required
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Ability to properly apply basic accounting principles when analyzing problems
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks in a high volume environment
- Attention to detail
- Net Suite knowledge preferred, but not required.
- Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot tables, Vlookups, etc)
