Cherry Bekaert Staffing and Recruiting is working with a mid‑size manufacturing organization near Chicago that is searching for a temp‑to‑perm
Bookkeeper to support AR and GL activities.
This will be either a fully remote or hybrid role in Chicago for 1–3 months for catch up and clean up. After that, it may be a fractional role (20‑30 hours/week).
- Collections from vendors
- Cash applications
- Associated research to make sure payments are applied to the proper accounts and invoices
- Booking associated journal entries to the GL
- Completing credit card reconciliations and bank reconciliations
- Other duties as assigned
- 4+ years of Bookkeeping (AR and GL) experience
- Strong analytical skills to apply cash to proper accounts
- Quickbooks Desktop experience ideal, but not required
- Ability to work independently to problem solve
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to get to Chicago as needed to on-site meetings
- Other duties as assigned
