Constellation Search Group is seeking a Sr. Accountant for a full-time direct hire position. The Sr. Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and consistency of accounting functions for the assigned project. This position is based at the job site in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain equity roll forward schedules for a high volume of minority interest owners and prepare related journal entries.
• Ensure the capitalization table accurately reflects current entity ownership.
• Work with the legal department on ownership changes and related entity valuations.
• Responsible for the allocation of net income to minority owners through a complex ownership structure.
• Account for monthly transactions and interest accruals on related-party and intercompany debt.
• Prepare equity, investments, and related-party account reconciliations.
• Calculate and coordinate payment of minority interest owners' monthly/quarterly cash distributions.
• Track acquisition-related holdback payments, facilitating approval and payment.
• Work closely with operational accounting to explain changes in account balances and provide supporting documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statement audit materials, including the consolidated statement of stockholders' equity.
