Staff Accountant

Responsible for performing the general accounting functions such as general ledger, A/P and A/R, bank and escrow account reconciliations, general ledger account reconciliations and the month-end and quarter-end accounting process.

• Assists the group with the preparation of daily and month-end adjusting entries
• Daily reconciliation of various bank accounts
• Perform financial statement preparation, distribution and variance analysis
• Assist with report writing and special projects
• Submits statutory and regulatory reports and assists with annual escheatment filing
• Helps with annual budget compilation
• Acts as the audit liaison
  
  Special projects as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Public accounting experience, a plus
• Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Advanced computer skills, such as proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Previous experience with large ERP and general ledger systems
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Strong team player – able to help others in the group
• Attention to detail with superior data entry skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
• Ability to work under pressure with compressed deadlines in a team environment
• Ability to work overtime as business demands require
