Controller, Accounting, Financial Reporting

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to join a private equity–backed, rapidly growing platform company as the first corporate-level finance hire. This is a highly visible role for a proven controller who thrives in fast-paced environments and has experience supporting PE-backed organizations

• Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements across a complex, multi-entity structure
• Ensure accurate, timely reporting in full compliance with U.S. GAAP
• Perform variance, trend, and margin analysis
• Private Equity & Operational Finance
• Partner closely with senior leadership and PE sponsors on financial reporting, forecasting, and performance tracking
• Oversee cash flow management and liquidity forecasting across portfolio entities
• Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles with clear variance analysis and insights
• Develop and distribute weekly and monthly KPI dashboards for leadership and investors
• Audit, Compliance & Controls
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and manage annual audits
• Ensure compliance with tax filings, financial disclosures, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Strengthen internal controls and optimize financial processes across entities and systems

• CPA strongly preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience

  Strong hands-on experience with M&A, multi-entity reporting, and consolidations
• Proven experience supporting acquisitions in roll-up or platform environments
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial analysis, and technical accounting
• Experience with Net Suite strongly preferred; familiarity with other ERP systems (Sage, Quick Books) a plus
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting
