PositionSummary
The Staff Accountant will support the accounting team in the execution of day-to-day financial operations across a portfolio of real estate development and operating assets. This role is responsible for transactional and process-driven accounting functions, including invoice processing, draw preparation, reconciliations, and audit/tax support.

Responsibilities- Own and execute month-end and quarter-end close processes
- Prepare and review detailed monthly bank reconciliations
- Record and analyze general ledger transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Process and code invoices across multiple entities and projects
- Prepare payment packages, including supporting documentation and approvals
- Compile invoices and prepare monthly construction draw packages
- Track draw submissions, funding status, and lender requirements
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
- Support year-end close, including audit and tax documentation
- Assist the Controller and Senior Accountants with ad hoc reporting and financial analysis
- Maintain organized documentation and accounting records
- Communicate effectively with Senior Accountants and Controller
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 1–3 years of public accounting experience (real estate or development experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (Yardi preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
- Effective communication (written and verbal) with timely follow-up
- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow
