Office/Accounts Receivable Specialist Chicago, IL

Cosmopolitan Linen Rental is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Office/AR Specialist to support accounts receivable functions and daily office operations. This role is responsible for invoicing, collections, customer account maintenance, administrative support, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and is seeking a long-term career opportunity with room for growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Process invoices and customer payments.
  • Manage accounts receivable and collections.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Audit invoices and account records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
  • Answer phones and provide administrative support.
  • Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
  • Assist with general office operations and reporting.
  • Collaborate with team members to support departmental and company objectives.
Required Characteristics / Personality Traits
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of office administration experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Minimum 1 year of Accounts Receivable and/or collections experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Positive, professional attitude with strong follow-through and accountability.
