Technical Accounting Manager

Job Title: Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Type: Full-Time, Permanent/Direct Hire Pay Range: $145,000 - $160,000 base salary plus 15% bonus Benefits: Annual incentive and a benefits package to all full-time employees including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) retirement plan match, health savings accounts, etc.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the preparation, review and timely filing of Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to clarify and simplify technical rules and regulations
• Draft and refine MD&A
• Lead the quarterly close-to-filing reporting workflow
• Maintain and update reporting policies
• Monitor and provide analysis on changing or new FASB or SEC disclosure rules that may impact future financial reporting
• Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and support audit activities
• Interface directly with external auditors on review and filing comments

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
• CPA required
• 5-9 years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or SEC reporting
• Demonstrated ownership of full-cycle SEC filings (10-Q and 10-K experience is essential)
