Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 remote)
Compensation: $100K–$125K
A high-growth professional services firm is seeking an Assistant Controller to support continued expansion. This is a newly created role reporting to the Controller. The position offers strong visibility, leadership opportunity, and involvement in scaling the accounting function.
Responsibilities:- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and monthly close
- Manage billing, AR/AP, and financial reporting processes
- Ensure accuracy, compliance, and strong internal controls
- Partner with leadership to support growth and process improvements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related experience
- 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience (flexible)
- Experience in law firm or professional services accounting
- US GAAP experience
- CPA or CPA candidate
- BCBS medical, dental, and vision
- Firm-paid STD & LTD
- Unlimited PTO
