The Alliance Française de Chicago is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. If you thrive in a dynamic, multicultural environment and possess strong financial expertise, we want to hear from you!
Location:
Chicago, IL (On-site / Hybrid flexibility after 3 months)
Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 (Based on experience)
Type:
Full-time, 40 hours/week
- Manage daily transactional ledgers, invoicing, and accounts payable/receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, close-outs, and sales tax filings.
- Prepare key financial reports, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Assist with payroll processing, HR administration, and annual audits.
- A Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting/Finance OR an Associate’s degree with equivalent professional experience.
- High proficiency in Quick Books Online and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
- Absolute integrity, trustworthiness, and strong independence.
- Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge NXT, French language skills, or data tech tools (Tableau/AI) is a major plus!
