Global Controller

Job Description

This individual will serve as the senior accounting leader responsible for the organization’s global controllership function. They will oversee accounting teams across multiple countries, ensuring financial statements are accurate, timely, and compliant with US GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements. Day to day, they will drive month‑end and quarter‑end close activities, partner with executive leadership on financial strategy, manage audit relationships, review complex accounting matters, and establish strong internal controls.

They will also mentor accounting leaders across regions, support process improvements, and help build a scalable finance organization capable of supporting continued growth. Pay will range from 60‑100/hr depending on experience.

• 15+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience
• Experience serving as Corporate Controller, Global Controller, VP Controller, or equivalent leadership role
• Experience overseeing multinational accounting operations
• Europe-based accounting oversight
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP
• Experience managing global monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Experience leading external audits
• Experience building and mentoring accounting teams
• Experience partnering with CFOs and executive leadership
• Public company experience
• SEC reporting exposure
• SOX compliance experience
• IPO experience
• Big 4 background
• CPA
