Prospera Executive are currently supporting a private equity‑backed services business in the Chicago area that is looking to appoint an experienced Interim Controller for an immediate assignment.
This is a hands‑on leadership role, working closely with the executive team to provide financial oversight, strengthen reporting and support the business through an important phase of its growth.
Key responsibilities- Lead the day‑to‑day finance and accounting function.
- Oversee month‑end close and financial reporting.
- Ensure robust financial controls and compliance.
- Manage cash flow, forecasting and working capital.
- Partner with the leadership team on operational and strategic initiatives.
- Support and develop the existing finance team.
- Previous experience as a Controller or senior finance leader.
- Experience working within private equity‑backed businesses.
- A hands‑on approach and the ability to quickly establish credibility.
- Strong financial reporting, controls and operational finance experience.
- Availability to start at short notice.
