- Work as part of a team covering a broad range of tax specialty areas such as income tax accounting, accounting methods and periods, corporate taxation, federal credits and incentives, individual taxation, mergers and acquisitions, pass‑through entity taxation, private client services, and not‑for‑profit organizations.
- Complete tax planning and research.
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Understand tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
- Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree (or equivalent) in accounting or a related field from an accredited university.
- Travel to assigned client locations is required; ability to arrange reliable transportation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work effectively on a team.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred).
- Working toward successful completion of the CPA exam; tax associates may obtain audit hours for full certification.
