Responsibilities
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for a portfolio of real estate investments.

- Maintain general ledger activity and ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
- Reconcile bank accounts, cash activity, and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare financial statements and management reporting packages.
- Analyze property operating results and investigate budget-to-actual variances.
- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash transactions for assigned entities.
- Assist with investor reporting and lender reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with property management teams regarding financial activity and operating results.
- Support external audits and tax preparation by gathering requested documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and U.S. GAAP.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and leverage technology to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1–2 years of accounting experience (public accounting internship or commercial real estate experience is a plus).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic financial analysis.
- Experience with ERP or property accounting systems is a plus (Yardi, MRI, JD Edwards, Sage Intacct, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
