Our client is a Top 25 public accounting firm with deep roots in the Midwest and a rapidly expanding national footprint. Their Chicago tax practice serves private equity-backed companies, family-owned businesses, real estate operators, and high-net-worth individuals across manufacturing, distribution, and professional services sectors.
As Senior Tax Manager you will oversee a portfolio of corporate, partnership, and individual tax engagements from planning through filing. You will manage and mentor a team of 4–6 staff and seniors, interface directly with clients and their CFOs, and collaborate with the firm's national specialty groups including R&D credits, cost segregation, and international tax.
This is a high-visibility role with a clear path to Director or Partner for the right candidate. The firm offers a hybrid schedule, generous PTO, and a collaborative culture that prioritizes professional development.
Requirements- CPA required; MST or LLM in Taxation a plus
- 7+ years of progressive public accounting experience with a focus on corporate and pass-through taxation
- Strong technical proficiency in ASC 740, federal consolidated returns, and multi-state apportionment
- Experience supervising and reviewing the work of junior staff
- CCH Axcess or Pro System fx experience preferred
