** About the Opportunity*
* Jefferson Wells, a Sikich Company, is partnering with a growing organization to identify an experienced  
** Accounting Manager
** for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has a proven track record of managing accounting teams while driving accurate and timely financial close processes.

The successful candidate will bring strong technical accounting expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to balance strategic oversight with day-to-day execution.

** Key Responsibilities*
* + Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting standards.

+ Directly supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

+ Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.

+ Oversee general ledger activities and maintain integrity of financial reporting.

+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability.

+ Partner cross-functionally with finance, operations, and business leaders to support organizational objectives.

+ Assist with audits, financial reporting requirements, and other accounting projects as needed.

+ Monitor internal controls and recommend enhancements where appropriate.

+ Support system optimization and leverage technology to drive operational effectiveness.

** Required Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

+ CPA designation strongly preferred.

+ Demonstrated experience directly managing and developing accounting staff.

+ Recent and robust experience managing and executing full-cycle monthly close activities.

+ Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles.

+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.

+ Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

+ Technically savvy with strong accounting systems experience and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

** Preferred Qualifications*

Experience with  
** Sage Intacct
** strongly preferred.

+ Prior experience working within a  
** private equity-backed (PE-backed)
** organization is highly desirable.

+ Experience supporting a growing or rapidly changing business environment.

+ Background improving accounting processes, workflows, and controls.
